    INFO ABOUT THURSDAY'S MEET AT GMST

    THE INFORMATION BELOW IS FROM GMST.  PLEASE READ.

    Hi Holston Hills! We are looking forward to our meet on Thursday.

    Location- Your team will be located on the far side of our pool, on the concrete pad that is behind the block area. We have a canopy built on that side, but I would also encourage your team to bring pop-up tents if your families have those. There is more space out there but it definitely will be warm so the more shade the better!

    The golf course is directly behind your tent. There is a grassy area and then the cart path dividing the area. Please help us keep kids off of the golf course portion. We will have a lifeguard stationed out there as well. There is a sandtrap that is close to there that is very attractive to the kids. We have also installed a new gate on the side of our pool, where your coaches normally station so that should make that area a lot more convenient this year for your team. This will allow more access for your team onto the pool deck. Your team parents are welcome to set chairs up on either side of the pool. We will have some chairs set up that are first come first serve.

    Parking- We have a paved parking lot around our pool. When this overflows, we will have a parking attendant directing cars into the back grassy area behind the parking lot. Cars can also park along the road leading into the club. We will have someone out there, but as long as they don't park on the actual golf course or block any cart paths, its ok. Please ensure that no one parks on the actual golf course.

    Concessions- We do not allow outside food or drinks into the club. However, for meets, we do allow families to bring snacks, water, gatorade, etc. We just ask that no one bring a large cooler into the meet or try to bring meals for everyone because we are a private club and the club will get mad. We have a concession stand that will have typical snack/pool food- drinks, candy, chips. There will also be a grill serving hotdogs and hamburgers, pizza and a swim team stand selling baked goods, drinks, and goggles.

    Other items: Hopefully your coaches know all the meet info- but we have an 8 lane pool. The younger kids start on the opposite end of the pool (4 feet, no blocks). We do double cards for the 10 and unders, and do not have a runner on the turn side of the pool to collect younger kids cards and bring them back to the finish side. We do have a runner on that side of the pool for DQ slips. We do not run a combined clerk of course (as is normal for a dual meet).

    We do not computer score- only paper score. You are welcome to computer score as well if your team wants to, but we will rely on the official paper score.

    All other items should be standard setup-- 4 timers, 2 stroke and turn, 2 runners, 2 jump judges, 1 finish judge, 1 scorer, 1 placer, as well as any other team specific positions (clerk of course, ribbons, etc).
