CITY MEET WORKER SIGN-UP - ALL DAYS

City Meet worker jobs are up.  Make sure you choose the correct day when you are signing up.  There is a separate template for each day.  Worker descriptions are listed in the box with each job.  The assignments differ from day to day, so please double check that you are signing up for the correct day.

On Friday and Saturday, the boys and girls swim in two separate pools (both pools are in the same large room, but they are on opposite sides). The timer, scribe, and jump judge positions will be for the girls side, so this is an excellent chance for parents of girls to be on the deck right by the action!  Clerk of Course is on the Boys Side - you will be able to go in and watch your child swim.  The Clerk of Course job could either be outside in the tent, walking groups of kids from the tent to behind the blocks, or it could be moving kids up behind the blocks.  We will not know until we get there.

REMEMBER:  ALL of the workers are PARENTS, just like you.  99.9% of the people working also have a kid swimming.  If parents don't work, meets don't happen.  Working is an excellent way to be right on the deck when your child swims.  In every job, you will have the opportunity to stop for a minute and watch your child swim - everyone is in the same position, so stopping to watch your child swim is 100% acceptable!  If we do not get the jobs filled by Thursday night (for Friday), Friday night (for Saturday), and Saturday night (for Sunday) - the volunteer coordinators will randomly choose a parent who is attending the meet and you will be asked to work on the spot.  STEP UP ON YOUR OWN SO THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR IS NOT PUT IN THE POSITION TO HAVE TO DO THIS.

FROM THE GKAISA SITE:  A large number of workers are required in order to be able to run a swim meet of more than 2000 swimmers over a three-day period.  First shift workers will meet at 8:10am each day with the Meet Director and other officials to receive instructions. At the Workers Meeting, a roll call will be held to ensure that sufficient workers have been provided for the designated shift.

Remember that "Teams who do not perform their assigned duties will be penalized as follows: 25 points per position and $20 per infraction up to a maximum of $100 per meet. (An infraction refers to each part of the meet - 10 and Unders, 11 and Older prelims, etc.)." (Championship Rule 3.4).
