    BANQUET DETAILS AND HELP NEEDED

Congratulations to all who swam at City Meet this weekend!  There were lots of great races - we definitely have an entire team's worth of kids to be proud of!  I hope everyone had a fun time.  Many thanks to all who stepped up to volunteer, especially those of you who jumped in at the last minute when I needed people.  You saved me from falling apart!

Don't forget about our banquet tomorrow night!  There will be a cash bar starting at 5:30, so please plan to come early and enjoy the patio and social time with friends.  Dinner and presentations will start at 6:30.

Attire is dressy casual - nice shorts, sundresses, etc is what people typically wear.

I do need some help with the following things.  These jobs would be best done by those who will not be at City Finals, or would be leaving finals early, so that they could arrive by 5:15. I will add these jobs to the banquet RSVP, so if you can help, please sign up there so I can keep track of how many people we have to help.

    1.  RSVP TABLE:  I need one or two people to sit at the door and check off the RSVP list and collect money from those who still owe for the food.  I'll provide a list and I will get there as soon as I can.

    2.  SETUP: I need a few dads to be there early to help Howard Tidwell with any set up needed.  This would include helping ice down the drinks, setting up a few tents to cover the food, etc.

    3.  BALLOONS AND DECOR:  Rachel Waddell is picking up balloons - maybe one other person to help her with those and get the ballroom looking a little festive - very no frills!  Help get medals set out on the table.

4:  ICE CREAM SCOOPERS:  we have 4 people signed up - make sure to bring a scoop if you are helping with this!

Once again, I'd like to thank William and Sam Carithers (Willy's Butcher Shop) for donating the hamburgers and hot dogs, Kelly Johnson and Jonathan Wimmer (Johnson Family Restaurants) for donating the baked beans and ice cream, Howard Tidwell for taking care of getting the medals and all of the setup, and Norm and Judy Walton for taking care of everything else!
