    WELCOME!!!

    Hey everyone!

For those who don’t know me, I’m Allison Lore, and I’m the team manager for the Holston Swim Team.  You will probably see a lot of communication from me over the season.  We are so happy to potentially have a great summer season swim season shaping up (come on, Knox County)!   The Hurricanes are so grateful to Beaver Brook for allowing us to have access to the pool and we are looking forward to meeting the BBCC swimmers this summer.  Whatever happens, Covid-wise, please know we are going to go out of our way to make sure we have a very fun season.

Since we now have a full roster and we can get information to everyone who is registered, I want to share the google doc (Keep reading...see below) for practice times once more.  If you’ve given your preference already, then you are welcome to bow out at this point.

For those who are just seeing this, we are anticipating the minimum requirements issued by Knox County, and we are currently preparing to have 12 kids at each practice session. In order to regulate this, we’ve slotted the practices and we need you to choose a group of practices that you would prefer to attend.  Here at the beginning of the season, until restrictions are eased, you will be limited to the option you choose.  Each swimmer will be allowed 4 practices a week, but you will need to choose a “group” - either the morning group option or the evening group option.  The group options are as follows.....

Option A:  Morning Practices - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday AM (ONLY)

    8 and under 8:00 - 8:35
    9-10 age group 8:45 - 9:20
    11 and 12 age group 9:30 - 10:05
    13-15 age group 10:15 - 10:50

Option B: Evening Practices - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Evenings, and Friday Mornings
    8 and under 6:10 - 6:45
    9-10 and 11-12 6:55 - 7:30
    13- amd up 7:40 - 8:15
    If Needed 8:25 - 9:00

    * For Friday mornings, see the times in Option A for you age group.

    OR......

If you are flexible, please choose Option C, which means you are good with either, and we’ll pencil you in where we can fit you best.

Families can share a lane and not have to adhere to social distancing guidelines, so if your swimmers are close in age, they may be placed in the same time slot to help us be most efficient in running practices.   We are going to do our best to keep friends together - after all, a huge portion of summer swim is friendships and fun!   You are welcome to email me at [email protected] if you have a specific request - no promises, but I will do everything I can to at least make sure your kiddo has a buddy at practice.

So, if you’ve made it this far, then click here and let us know your preferences: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScVROqFKvO_4V4RVbxIkGo7yUJk9K-Anw5fESa5jE7DCEB4qQ/viewform

Can’t wait to see everyone, and let’s all pray the county allows us to get started on June 1!

    Allison
