Dear Parents,

Thank you to everyone for their patience during the past week as we worked on organizing the swimmers into their respective groups.

As we move forward, I wanted to provide you with some important information regarding the upcoming week and our plans for time trials.

The highlight of this week will be our time trials event, on the evening of Thursday, June 8th (arrival time of 6:15pm). Time trials will follow a similar format to previous years, but this year we will include all age groups in one event in order to create a meet-like atmosphere and help everyone prepare for our first official meet.

The plan is to have all swimmers participate in a 50-meter (11 and up) or 25-meter (10 and under) event in every stroke. However, new swimmers and younger participants who are not familiar with breaststroke or butterfly will not swim those particular events.

We will start with freestyle and backstroke events first. If your child is not participating in breaststroke or butterfly, he/she may leave once the freestyle and backstroke events are completed.

Additionally, we will try to organize a freestyle relay team for all swimmers, allowing both swimmers and parents to familiarize themselves with how we get ready and in place for those events. Relays can sometimes be a little hectic, especially when it involves younger swimmers, so this will be a great opportunity for everyone to become comfortable with the process.

It is important for all parents (excluding Little Fins) to RSVP with a "Yes" or "No" for time trials, as well as for every meet we attend. Informing me verbally whether you will or will not be attending is not sufficient.
